Grip Socks Manufacturing
FAQ for B2B Buyers
Everything you need to know about MOQ, custom logo, private label, packaging, sampling, lead times, shipping, quality control, compliance, and payment -- answered directly from our factory in Zhuji, China.
Category 01
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
What is the minimum order quantity for custom grip socks?
Our standard MOQ for fully custom grip socks (custom logo, color, grip pattern, and packaging) starts from 300 pairs per style. For buyers who need lower quantities, we offer a low-MOQ option starting from 100 pairs using our stock styles with logo printing added -- a great way to start without committing to a large run.
Can I order different sizes within the same MOQ?
Yes. The MOQ applies to the total order per style, not per size. You can split the quantity across S / M / L / XL sizes within the same style, as long as the total meets the minimum. We typically recommend a size ratio based on your target market -- we can advise on this during the sample stage.
Is there a lower MOQ for reorders?
For established customers with confirmed tooling and approved samples, reorder MOQs can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. We value long-term partnerships and aim to make repeat orders as smooth as possible. Stable reorder customers often benefit from priority production scheduling and faster turnaround.
What counts as one "style" for MOQ purposes?
A "style" is defined by a unique combination of sock structure + grip pattern + color + logo. If you want two different grip patterns, those count as two styles. If you want the same style in two colorways, those also count as two styles. We'll confirm this clearly in the quotation so there are no surprises.
Category 02
Custom Logo & Branding
What logo customization options are available?
We support multiple logo placement methods depending on the sock style and your branding requirements:
- Woven jacquard logo -- knitted directly into the fabric (most durable, premium look)
- Silicone grip logo -- logo integrated into the grip pattern on the sole
- Embroidery -- raised logo on the cuff or ankle area
- Heat transfer / print -- suitable for complex multi-color logos
We recommend jacquard or silicone grip logo for fitness and sports markets. Send us your logo file (AI, EPS, or high-res PNG) and we'll advise on the best method.
Can I customize the grip pattern with my own design?
Yes. We can produce custom silicone grip patterns including your logo shape, brand icons, geometric patterns, or full-sole coverage designs. Custom grip molds are created for your exclusive use. We also offer standard grip patterns (dots, lines, waves, toe-only) for buyers who don't need a fully custom mold.
What file format should I provide for my logo?
Please provide your logo as a vector file (AI or EPS preferred), or a high-resolution PNG with transparent background (minimum 300 dpi). For Pantone color matching, include your Pantone color codes. If you only have a JPG or low-res file, send it anyway -- our design team can often work with what you have and advise on feasibility.
Do you provide design mockups before production?
Yes. Before we produce samples, we'll share a 2D flat mockup or 3D render showing your logo placement, color choices, and grip layout. You review and approve before we move to physical sample production. This step is included in our standard process at no extra charge.
Category 03
Private Label Manufacturing
Do you offer private label grip socks?
Yes. Private label is one of our core services. We manufacture grip socks under your brand -- including custom sock design, your logo, your color palette, your packaging, and your hangtags. There is no HaloCors branding on the final product unless you request it. The product is 100% yours.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM at HaloCors?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) -- You provide the full product specification (design, materials, structure, grip layout) and we manufacture to your exact spec. Best for buyers who already have a detailed product concept.
ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) -- We develop the product design for you based on your requirements, target market, and usage scenario. You select from options we propose and we customize from there. Best for buyers who want expert input on product development.
Most of our buyers use a hybrid approach -- they bring ideas and we help refine them into manufacturable, market-ready products.
Will you keep my designs confidential?
Yes. We treat all buyer designs, specifications, and branding as confidential and exclusive. We are willing to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) before sharing detailed technical information. Custom molds and tooling created for your product are not shared with other buyers.

Packaging Options
What packaging options are available for custom grip socks?
We offer a full range of retail and bulk packaging solutions:
- Polybag with header card -- most common for retail display
- Kraft paper band / belly band -- eco-friendly, popular for boutique fitness brands
- Individual hang tag -- attached to the sock pair with brand info and size
- Retail box (folding carton) -- premium option for gift sets or high-end brands
- Bulk poly bag (no retail packaging) -- for trampoline parks and institutional buyers
All packaging can be custom printed with your brand colors, logo, barcode, care instructions, and country of origin labeling.
Can you add a barcode and care label to the packaging?
Yes. We can print or attach barcodes (EAN-13, UPC-A, QR code), care labels, size labels, country of origin labels, and composition labels. If you supply your barcode numbers, we incorporate them into the packaging artwork. Care labels can be woven or printed and sewn into the sock lining.
Do you offer eco-friendly or sustainable packaging?
Yes. We can source recycled kraft paper, FSC-certified cardboard, and biodegradable polybags for buyers who have sustainability requirements. This is increasingly requested by EU and Australian buyers. Let us know your requirements and we'll provide material options and cost comparison.
Category 05
Sampling Process
How long does it take to receive a sample?
Standard custom sample production takes 7-10 business days after design approval and sample fee payment. Shipping time is additional (typically 3-7 days via DHL/FedEx/UPS to most destinations). For stock-style samples with logo printing, turnaround can be faster. We'll confirm the exact timeline when we start your project.
Is there a sample fee? Is it refundable?
Yes, we charge a sample fee to cover material and production costs. The amount depends on the complexity of the sample (standard styles vs. fully custom). Sample fees are fully refundable when you place a bulk order that meets the confirmed MOQ. Shipping costs for samples are borne by the buyer.
Can I request stock samples before committing to custom production?
Yes. We can send existing stock samples so you can evaluate fabric quality, grip performance, sock structure, and sizing before deciding on customization. This is a good first step if you're new to sourcing grip socks. Stock samples are available in limited styles and colors -- contact us and we'll tell you what's currently available to ship quickly.
How many revision rounds are included in the sample process?
We include one revision round in the standard sample process. If the first sample has minor issues (color deviation, small sizing adjustment), we correct them in a revised sample. Major design changes after the first sample may incur an additional fee. We aim to get samples right the first time by doing thorough design review before production starts.
Category 06
Production Lead Time
What is the production lead time for bulk orders?
Standard bulk production lead time is 25-35 business days after sample approval and deposit payment. Lead time can vary based on order complexity, quantity, packaging requirements, and current production schedule. We'll confirm the exact lead time in your order confirmation. Rush orders may be possible -- contact us to discuss.
When does the lead time clock start?
Production lead time starts from the date we receive both your written bulk order confirmation (signed PI) and your deposit payment. Pre-production steps like design approval and sample sign-off must be completed before production begins. We recommend completing the sample stage well before your target ship date.
Are there seasonal delays I should plan for?
Yes. Chinese New Year (late January - mid February) is the main seasonal disruption -- factories typically shut for 2-3 weeks. We recommend placing orders before December to avoid delays. Additionally, the pre-Golden Week period (late September) and peak export season (Q3-Q4) can see longer lead times. We'll always communicate proactively about any schedule impacts.
Category 07
Shipping & Logistics
What shipping terms do you offer?
We support the following Incoterms:
- FOB Ningbo -- we deliver to Ningbo port, buyer handles freight and import
- CIF -- we arrange and pay for freight + insurance to destination port
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) -- we handle everything including customs clearance and delivery to your warehouse door
DDP is popular with first-time importers and small-to-mid size brands who prefer a single landed cost with no customs surprises. Ask us for a DDP quote alongside your product quote.
How are goods typically shipped -- by sea or air?
Sea freight (LCL or FCL) is standard for bulk orders -- cost-effective, typically 20-35 days transit to EU/NA/AU. Air freight or express courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is used for samples, urgent orders, or small quantities. We'll recommend the best option based on your order size, timeline, and budget.
Do you ship to Europe, North America, and Australia?
Yes. We regularly ship to EU countries (Germany, France, Netherlands, UK, Italy, Spain), USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. We have established freight partnerships for all major trade lanes. If you're in a less common market, let us know and we'll confirm shipping options and estimated costs.
What documents do you provide for customs clearance?
We provide a standard set of export documents including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin (CO) -- Form A / FORM E / General CO as required
- Material Composition Declaration
- UFLPA-ready sourcing documentation upon request
For EU buyers, we can provide documentation to support customs classification (HS code) and textile labeling compliance.
Category 08
Quality Control
What does your quality control process look like?
Our QC process covers the full production lifecycle:
- Incoming material inspection -- yarn, silicone, elastic, and packaging materials checked on arrival
- In-line production check -- knitting, linking, and grip application monitored during production
- Pre-shipment final inspection -- random sampling per AQL standard, checking dimensions, grip adhesion, color, and packaging
- Wash durability test -- grip performance tested after repeated washing cycles
Inspection reports are available on request. Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, etc.) can be arranged at the buyer's cost.
How do you ensure grip performance is consistent across bulk production?
Grip consistency is controlled through standardized silicone formulation, fixed mold tooling, controlled curing temperature, and consistent application pressure. We test grip adhesion strength and wash durability on production samples before bulk shipment. Silicone grip is preferred over PVC print for premium markets because it delivers more consistent performance across washing cycles.
Can I arrange a third-party factory audit?
Yes. We welcome third-party factory audits and pre-shipment inspections by approved inspection companies (SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, QIMA, etc.). Please notify us at least 5 business days in advance so we can coordinate access. Factory visit by buyers is also welcome -- contact us to arrange.
Category 09
Compliance & Certifications
Do your grip socks comply with EU textile regulations?
We can provide material composition declarations to support EU textile labeling requirements (EU Textile Regulation 1007/2011). For REACH compliance (chemical safety), we can arrange testing through accredited labs. We work with EU buyers regularly and understand the documentation requirements -- let us know your specific compliance needs and we'll prepare accordingly.
Can you support ASTM testing for medical non-slip socks?
We are familiar with ASTM F2913 (slip resistance testing for footwear) as a reference standard for medical non-slip socks. We can arrange testing through third-party labs upon request. For buyers pursuing FDA clearance pathways for medical devices, we can discuss documentation support and production requirements on a case-by-case basis. Please note: regulatory clearance is the buyer's responsibility -- we provide manufacturing and documentation support.
Are you UFLPA compliant? Can you provide supply chain documentation?
Yes. We maintain transparent sourcing records and can provide supply chain documentation to support UFLPA (Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act) compliance requirements for US imports. Our yarn and material suppliers are documented and traceable. We're prepared to work with buyers who need detailed sourcing declarations for US Customs.
Do you have any factory certifications?
We can share available factory credentials and audit reports upon request. For buyers who require specific certifications (BSCI, ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX, etc.), please let us know your requirements early in the project discussion so we can confirm compatibility or arrange the appropriate third-party audit process.
Category 10
Payment Terms
What are your standard payment terms?
Standard payment terms for bulk orders are 30% deposit upon order confirmation, 70% balance before shipment. For first-time orders, full payment before production may be required. For established long-term customers, we can discuss more flexible terms including net payment after inspection. Sample fees are paid in full upfront.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following payment methods:
- T/T (Telegraphic Transfer / Bank Wire) -- preferred method for all orders
- PayPal -- available for sample payments and small orders (fees apply)
- Western Union -- available on request
- Letter of Credit (L/C) -- available for large orders from established buyers
All prices are quoted in USD. We'll provide full banking details on the Proforma Invoice.
Is there a price break for larger order quantities?
Yes. Unit prices decrease as order quantity increases. We provide tiered pricing in our quotations -- typically showing price breaks at 300, 500, 1000, 3000, and 5000+ pairs. The exact tiers depend on the product style and customization level. Request a quote and we'll include full pricing tiers so you can plan your inventory investment.
What currency are prices quoted in?
All prices are quoted in USD (US Dollars) by default. If you prefer EUR or another currency, let us know and we can accommodate where possible. Exchange rate fluctuations are handled at the time of invoice -- we recommend confirming pricing close to your order date for accuracy.
