A structured, repeatable protocol that mirrors real-world commercial laundry conditions -- giving you confidence before bulk production.
Pre-Wash Baseline Documentation
Each sample is photographed, measured, and grip-dot count recorded. Elasticity is tested with a standard stretch gauge. Color is assessed under D65 lighting before any washing begins.
Machine Wash Protocol
Socks are washed at 40°C in a standard drum washing machine using neutral detergent. Each cycle simulates a typical commercial or home laundry session. Tumble dry is excluded to replicate air-dry conditions most end users follow.
Milestone Inspections
Samples are pulled at 10, 20, 30, and 50 wash cycles for full inspection. Each checkpoint records grip adhesion, dot integrity, shape retention, color delta, and cuff elasticity changes.
Grip Adhesion Pull Test
After each milestone, a peel-force gauge measures the bonding strength of silicone dots to the base fabric. Results are compared against the pre-wash baseline. Acceptable threshold is <5% adhesion loss at 50 cycles.
Shape & Dimension Check
Sock length, cuff width, and toe-box dimensions are re-measured at each checkpoint. Shrinkage or deformation beyond ±3% is flagged for material or knit structure review.
Final Report & Production Release
A pass/fail summary is issued per product SKU. Materials or grip formulations that fail any checkpoint are revised before bulk production approval. Buyers can request the test report alongside their sample.

Dot Count Verification
Every grip dot is counted against the original print layout. Any missing or partially detached dots are flagged. Premium silicone bonding ensures zero dot loss under normal wash conditions.
Dome Shape Retention
Grip dots must maintain their dome profile to function properly. Flattened or cracked dots lose surface friction. We check dome height under magnification at each wash milestone.
Edge Adhesion Integrity
Edge lifting is the most common failure mode in lower-quality silicone prints. We use a peel-force test to measure edge bonding strength and reject any sample showing >1mm edge lift.
Surface Friction Coefficient
A friction sled test measures slip resistance on polished floor surfaces before and after washing. Silicone grip must retain >90% of its original friction coefficient at 50 cycles to pass.
