What You Need to Prepare
Customer Information Checklist
To get your sample started quickly, prepare the following. You don't need everything on day one -- we'll guide you through what's missing.
Logo Files
AI, EPS, or high-resolution PNG with transparent background. Vector preferred for embroidery or silicone logo.
Color Selection
Pantone (PMS) codes preferred. If no Pantone, share color swatches, hex codes, or reference images. We'll match as closely as possible.
Grip Pattern & Placement
Full-sole, toe-only, heel-free, or custom grip zone. Reference images of grip patterns you like are helpful. We can also recommend based on your use case.
Sock Style & Size Range
Ankle, crew, low-cut, or toeless. Size range (e.g. S/M/L or EU 35-38 / 39-42). Wide toe box or standard toe box preference.
Packaging Requirements
Polybag, header card, retail box, or hangtag. Barcode (EAN/UPC) if needed. Custom label or generic stock packaging.
Target Market & Use Case
Where will these socks be sold and used? Pilates studio, trampoline park, hospital, retail, e-commerce? This shapes material, grip, and compliance recommendations.
Don't Have Everything Yet?
You don't need a complete brief to start. Many buyers begin with just a product category and a rough color idea. We'll send you a structured intake form and help you fill in the gaps during our first conversation.
No Pantone? Share a photo -- we'll suggest closest match
No logo yet? We can develop a mockup with placeholder artwork
Not sure on grip type? We recommend based on your use case
Unsure about size range? We provide standard size breakdowns
Grip Material Quick Guide
Silicone Grip
Premium feel, stronger grip performance, wash-durable. Best for Pilates, yoga, barre, and premium retail brands.
PVC Grip (Anti-Slip Print)
Cost-effective, flexible pattern options, good for trampoline parks, bulk orders, and price-sensitive markets.
Not Sure?
Tell us your use case and budget. We'll recommend the right grip material and can produce comparison samples if needed.

Revision Guide
What Buyers Typically Revise
Most samples are approved within 1-2 rounds. Here are the most common revision requests and how we handle them.
Color Adjustment
Most common revision. Yarn dye batches can vary slightly from digital previews. We offer re-dye or color-matching adjustments.
Included in 2nd roundGrip Density & Pattern
Adjusting grip dot spacing, size, or zone coverage. Some buyers want denser toe grip or wider heel coverage after testing.
New mold may applyLogo Size & Position
Logo placement on the cuff, arch, or toe box. Size adjustments are common -- buyers often want larger or more subtle branding after seeing physical samples.
Included in 2nd roundFit & Elasticity
Tighter ankle band, wider toe box, or adjusted cuff height. Fit feedback is best gathered by testing on real feet with your target customer group.
2nd sample roundPackaging & Label
Header card copy changes, barcode placement, hangtag string color, or retail box finish (matte vs gloss). Packaging revisions are low-cost and fast.
Low additional costYarn / Material Upgrade
Switching from standard cotton blend to bamboo, modal, or merino after feeling the sample. Material upgrades affect unit cost and require a new sample round.
New sample required2-3 Revision Rounds Included as Standard
Minor revisions (color, logo, label) are included in the standard sampling process. Structural changes (new mold, material change) may require additional sample cost. We always confirm scope before proceeding.
After Sample Approval
From Sample to Bulk Production
Sample approval triggers a structured handoff to bulk production. Here's exactly what happens next.
Production Spec Sheet Locked
Once you sign off on the approved sample, we issue a production spec sheet covering yarn composition, grip material, size breakdown, color codes, logo placement, and packaging details. This document becomes the quality reference for your bulk order.
Bulk Order Quotation Confirmed
We issue the final bulk order PI (Proforma Invoice) with unit price, MOQ, size ratio, packaging cost, and shipping terms (FOB Ningbo or DDP). Sample fee is deducted from the deposit at this stage.
30% Deposit → Production Scheduled
Standard payment terms are 30% deposit, 70% before shipment. On deposit confirmation, your order is scheduled on our production lines. We provide a production timeline with milestone dates.
In-Line QC + Pre-Shipment Inspection
Quality checks at three stages: incoming material, in-line production, and final pre-shipment inspection. We send QC photos and reports. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV) can be arranged on request.
Shipment + Tracking + Delivery
Bulk orders ship via sea freight (FOB Ningbo) or door-to-door DDP. Tracking updates provided from loading to final delivery. Standard bulk lead time is 25-35 days from production start.

Common Questions
Sampling FAQ
Answers to the most common questions from B2B buyers starting their grip socks sampling project.
How much does a sample cost and is it refundable?
Sample fees range from USD 50 to USD 300 depending on complexity -- stock style with logo, custom color and grip, or full custom development. All sample fees are 100% refunded against your first bulk production order. Shipping cost is not included in the refund.
How long does it take to receive my samples?
Standard sample production is 7-10 business days from payment confirmation. Add 3-5 business days for DHL or FedEx delivery to most markets (EU, US, AU, JP, KR). Total from brief to delivery is typically 14-18 days.
Do I need to have a logo or finished design before starting?
No. Many buyers start with just a product category and a color direction. We can develop a mockup with placeholder artwork and guide you through the brief with a structured intake form. Logo files in vector format (AI, EPS) are needed before final sample production begins.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk production?
Minimum bulk order starts from 100 pairs for stock-based customization (logo + color on existing styles). Full custom development typically starts from 300-500 pairs depending on the complexity of the design. We confirm MOQ per project during the quote stage.
Can I get samples in multiple colorways at the same time?
Yes. We can produce samples in 2-3 colorways simultaneously. Each colorway is quoted separately. This is common for buyers who want to test seasonal colors or offer multiple SKUs in their first bulk order.
What grip materials can you sample -- silicone or PVC?
Both. Silicone grip is preferred for premium markets (Pilates, yoga, barre) due to stronger grip performance and wash durability. PVC anti-slip print is cost-effective and suitable for trampoline parks and bulk orders. We can produce comparison samples in both materials if you are undecided.
Can I request changes after receiving my first sample?
Yes. 2-3 revision rounds are included as standard. Minor changes (color, logo size, label text) are handled within the existing sample cost. Structural changes such as a new grip mold or material switch may require a small additional charge, which we confirm before proceeding.
Do you support medical or compliance-specific sampling?
Yes. For medical non-slip socks, we can discuss ASTM reference testing, double-tread grip structures, and documentation requirements. Compliance pathways (FDA, CE) are reviewed case by case. Please mention your market and regulatory requirements during the brief stage.
What happens after I approve the sample?
We issue a production spec sheet locking all confirmed details, then send the bulk order Proforma Invoice. On 30% deposit, your order is scheduled. Bulk production lead time is 25-35 days. We provide QC photos, in-line reports, and pre-shipment inspection before dispatch.
Can I visit the factory or arrange a third-party inspection?
Factory visits are welcome by appointment. We are based in Zhuji, Zhejiang, China. Third-party inspections (SGS, BV, or buyer-nominated agency) can be arranged before shipment. Please let us know your requirements during the order confirmation stage.
